Overcladding Roofing Specialist - Industrial, Commercial and Public Sector
What is overcladding?
Overcladding, also known as over-sheeting, is an economical and fast way of upgrading insulation and improving the appearance of your building. We can install these lightweight roof systems over metal or asbestos roofs. Over-Cladding is the attachment of metal, Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) or Fibreglass profiled sheet overlays to existing asbestos, felt or metal roofs. The system incorporates a spacer and support rail that is fixed through the existing roof build-up into the support structure below. Overcladding usually includes insulation. |
What are the benefits?
Overcladding is quick, simple to install and a more cost-effective alternative (due to less labour time and no removal costs) to strip and resheet and some coating systems. Installation causes minimal disruption to business operations because no part of the roof is taken up.

Can my roof be overcladded?
It will all depend on the condition of your current roof. If it is structurally sound, secure and free of any major damage then you will definitely be able to benefit from overcladding. In some cases the roof may be beyond repair or upgrade and so you will have to choose an alternative (strip and resheet). We can advise you on the most suitable course of action. CLAY CONTRACT offers overcladding and insulation upgrades suitable for all roof types. |
